Here is a peep at the Energy Screen that is now available for update on any first batch of ZOE ZE50 anything built after Nov 2020 will have this feature already.
It would be helpful if the author of this article could confirm the technical details of the update, or if you could get Renault to make some statement. I have now completed 3 visits to dealer in Brighton and after 2 full days with the car and telling me they had all the details of how to do the update from Renault - are now telling me the update is not relevant or compatible with my ZE50(june 2020) and cannot be done! This is after I have called renault and discussed update and arranged my third visit . Exasperated with the dealer and Renault UK.
I think with dealers it is pot luck. My Renault dealer in Trowbridge Wiltshire had been fobbing me off for ages when I approuched them to do the updates. One of the excuses was ' whose going to pay for it '. This went on for months and they have still not come back to me ( By the way this is the second Zoe bought from them so I have spent good money with them). Fortunately I was going to have a few days in Carnforth nr Morecambe which is about 250 miles from where I live. So I contacted DSG in Morecambe and they were great in booking me in while I was up there. My car went…
Further to the saga below, I have been back to the dealer after talking to renault UK- however they still didn't seem to realise that both these updates were needed. They now want me to go back next week and they want the car for 2 days due to unreliability of the up- load. It's alarming that this will be total of 3 days in the garage for what appears to be a simple update. I was also told by the service manager that they were not authorised to do these updates unless they were part of a re-call which in they case they are not. They are only doing it now because of the involvement of renault UK! …
Thanks! Like sean Hellett, below, my dealer did the BMS update but not the Flow metering and display. It would be good if there was a central indicator on the tablet display which showed if any software update was available.
Is there any way of checking which software option is the latest. I took my car in for this BMS update. after waiting 3 hours I was told it was all done but no energy flow icon on the display menu?
